MRCP Part 1 results for the 2026/3 paper, taken on September 23, 2026, are due by November 6, 2026, the results date on the exam dates page of the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians, checked on September 24, 2026. They are released to your MyMRCP(UK) account, not posted, and the Federation publishes no time of day. The catch is the next window: applications for the January 20, 2027 paper run October 27 to November 3, 2026, and close three days before the September results are due.

When MRCP Part 1 results for September 2026 come out

The Federation lists November 6, 2026 as the results date for the 2026/3 diet, which is 44 days after the September 23 paper by this article's count. Its FAQ says Part 1 written results are published through MyMRCP(UK) accounts on or before six weeks after the examination, and the dates page gives the approximate release date for each diet. Six weeks is new. The Federation moved Part 1, Part 2 and specialty certificate results from four weeks to six weeks after the exam, effective September 1, 2025, in a notice posted on August 21, 2025. The reason it gives is time for processing and quality assurance before the exam board releases results.

No hour is published. The Part 1 FAQs say results are confirmed by the exam board about six weeks after the exam and released to your MyMRCP(UK) account, and ask candidates not to contact the Federation for updates before the published release date. Any time of day you read on a forum is a guess.

Every MRCP Part 1 diet in 2026 and 2027, with the results date

Six diets are published, three in 2026 and three in 2027. Application windows open and close at 8am UK time, and applications outside them are not accepted.

The reasonable adjustment deadline for the January 2027 paper is November 10, 2026, a week after its window closes. From the September 2026 diet the Federation delivers Part 1 in test centers, with exams based in Myanmar and Sudan still delivered by remote proctoring.

What your MRCP Part 1 result shows

Your result is an overall scaled score, not a percentage. The Federation has equated Part 1 since the 2008/3 diet, so a score reflects both how many questions you answered correctly and how hard that paper was, and for the vast majority of candidates it lands between 200 and 800. The pass mark is 450. Both facts are on the Federation pass mark page, checked on September 24, 2026.

MRCP Part 1 pass rates in the last three diets

About half of all candidates pass a Part 1 diet, and UK graduates pass at a much higher rate than UK trainees taking it for the first time.

Should you apply for January 2027 before your September result?

If you want the January paper, you have to apply before you know your result: the 2027/1 window runs October 27 to November 3, 2026, closing at 8am UK time, and the 2026/3 results are due by November 6. Anyone who waits for their September result misses January 2027, and the next paper after that is May 26, 2027. That clash is this article's reading of the Federation dates page, not a statement the Federation makes.

Two rules shape the decision. You can take Part 1 only if you graduated at least 12 months before the exam date, counted to the exam and not to the window, and applications for Part 2 or PACES are accepted only once your Part 1 pass is confirmed.
