The 2026 student handbook is unusually plain about the format: two papers of 100 items taken on sequential days, all of them single best answer with five options, no penalty for wrong answers, two hours a paper. There is no image dependency to work around and no proprietary item type. A single best answer item written from your own teaching material has the same shape as the exam you will take.
What no generator can promise is coverage. The MLA content map has six domains, and the two that carry the exam, patient presentations and conditions, are wider than any set of lecture notes. Is the AKT the same as PLAB 1?
They are both applied knowledge tests compliant with the MLA. UK students take the medical school AKT; international medical graduates take PLAB 1, which is 180 items in three hours. There is a page for PLAB 1 as well.
