# MedUni Exam > MedUni Exam writes exam questions for students of medicine and the health sciences, from their own PDF, Word file, slide deck, pasted text or web page. Each question carries the verbatim quote and the page it came from, checked against that page and answered blind by a second model. There is a free plan and no account is needed. **How to read this file.** Every link below is the Markdown copy of the HTML page at the same address without the .md ending, and /index.md is the copy of the home page at /. A GET of the HTML address with Accept: text/markdown returns that same copy. Most of the English pages listed below also exist in the 28 languages of the landing pages, at the language code in front of the path (for example /pl/pricing, /ja/exam/usmle-step-1), each with its own Markdown copy at that address with .md appended (/pl/pricing.md). The home page is the exception to the address rule: its language copy is /pl.md, and /pl/index.md and /pl/index.html.md answer that same copy. The 14 articles under /blog/ that hold the numbers of one exam (USMLE, PLAB, MRCP, NCLEX, MCAT, NAPLEX, INBDE, COMLEX, UKMLA), marked (English only.) in the Articles list below, are read in English everywhere and have no copy under a language code: /pl/blog/plab-1-pass-mark-and-pass-rate.md does not exist. The 30 pages already written in another language, the 28 landing pages and the exam page under /de and the one under /fr, have no such set: each is listed here once, at the address it is written at. To enter the site in one language, follow that language's landing page copy listed below (/pl.md, /ja.md, /ar.md): it links that language's sample exam, exam index, language page and its own exam article as Markdown, and those link on to the rest. **What it does.** Generates exam questions in five shapes (single best answer multiple choice, clinical vignettes, multi-select, true/false, short answer) from a student's own material: a PDF, a Word (.docx) file, a PowerPoint (.pptx) deck, a plain text or Markdown file, text pasted into the box, or a public web page given by its address. A PDF cites a page, a deck cites a slide, and Word, text, pasted text and web pages are cut into numbered sections and cite those. - Each question must cite verbatim quotes with page numbers; the server checks that the quote exists on that page, and a second AI model from a different family answers the question from the quotes alone. Disagreement rejects the question. Accepted questions display their sources. - Scanned PDFs are read with optical character recognition. A document may run to 3,000 pages, of which up to 600 may be scanned pages; large files upload in parts and text PDFs can be imported by the browser in seconds. - The learning loop: automatic grading, A-F grades, per-chapter mastery, spaced review of missed questions, smart exams weighted toward weak topics, a post-exam AI debrief, and a per-question AI tutor grounded in the source. - Paid plans add downloads (Anki tab separated text, CSV, a printable page) and an unlimited tutor. - The site can be installed from the browser: it carries a web app manifest and a service worker, so a phone or a desktop browser can add it to the home screen and open it full screen from its own icon. Store apps for Android and iOS are being prepared. - Any language: questions come out in the language of the document, or in the one the student picks from the full language list, and the document's own language is detected at upload. The language page below sets out the three tiers and what each one really covers. - Tier 1 (28 languages, full item writing filter) since September 19, 2026: the hand-written phrase patterns that throw out lazy items run in these as well as everything else; tier 2 (11 languages) detects the document's language but has no patterns; tier 3 (7,009) is every other living language, picked by hand on the form. The quote check and the blind second answer run in all three. - Speed, measured on the live site on September 23, 2026 on the free pool: 20 questions from an OpenStax anatomy chapter of 44 to 60 pages in about 15 to 18 seconds; a 900 page textbook read and stored in under 40 seconds, measured on September 12, 2026. Those runs are the whole speed claim; the paid lane was not timed. The free lane writes on DeepSeek V4 Flash on Cloudflare Workers AI, with other open-weight models as fallbacks; the paid lane writes on DeepSeek V4 Pro, with Kimi K2.6 answering each question blind. - Not an exam board: MedUni Exam has no connection to the NBME, the USMLE program, the GMC, the Medical Schools Council, the NCSBN, NABP, the AAMC, the NBOME, the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians, the Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations or the IMPP, and it is not a bank of past papers. Every question is written from the student's own file in the published format of the exam, which is what each exam page says. **Who publishes this.** MedUni Exam is operated by an individual trading as MedUni Exam, based in Hailsham, East Sussex, United Kingdom. Support: support@meduniexam.com. The facts in this file were last checked on September 24, 2026; each page states its own published and updated dates in its opening lines. **Other languages.** The landing page exists in 28 languages at the two letter path (for example /it, /pl, /ja), each with a Markdown copy, and all of them are listed under In other languages, each followed by the exam pages written in that language; German and French carry copy of their own, the other 26 are the same page translated. Fourteen exam pages are written in the language the exam is sat in (eleven languages) and are all listed under In other languages, each with an English note saying which exam it is. Each language also has an llms.txt of its own at its code followed by /llms.txt (/pl/llms.txt, /ja/llms.txt), written in that language and listing every indexable page in it with the page's own title and description; those 28 files are linked under In other languages too. **Who it is for.** University students of medicine and the health sciences who are examined on their own lecture materials and textbooks, which curated question banks do not cover: medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, physiotherapy and biomedical science. **Access and plans.** Visitors can start as guests without an account; registering keeps the library, grades and review queue across devices. Prices are in US dollars, read from the same catalog the pricing page prints. - Free plan: 300 verified questions a month with a free account, 60 a month for a guest workspace, generated on a pool of open-weight models. Uploads, grading, mastery tracking, spaced review, exams and 10 tutor questions a day are included. - Pro: $9.99 a month or $49.99 a year, runs jobs on the priority models with a fair-use limit of 10,000 verified questions a month, adds Anki, CSV and printable downloads, and makes the tutor unlimited. - Exam Pass: $19.99 once for 90 days of priority generation, with the same downloads, the same unlimited tutor and the same fair use as Pro. - Question packs: prepaid verified questions with no subscription, $5.99 for 500 and $19.99 for 2,000, valid for 12 months. **How to read the pages.** Each HTML page carries schema.org JSON-LD: WebPage, WebSite, Organization and BreadcrumbList on every page, and where they apply FAQPage, BlogPosting, Dataset and WebApplication with its Offers. The Markdown copies carry the same text without the markup, and each names the HTML page it was made from. /robots.txt lets every crawler, including the AI crawlers it names, read every page; only /api/ (apart from the two rejection dataset files it allows) and /t/ are closed. /sitemap.xml lists the HTML pages. ## Start here -
