# PLAB 1 practice written from the UK guidance you upload

> PLAB 1 style single best answer questions generated from the UK guidance you are studying, in the exam's own format, each one quoting the page it came from.

The format is the easy part, and the answer UK practice expects is the part that decides whether your practice was worth the evening. Upload the UK guidance you are studying from and every question prints the line it was written from and the page that line sits on.

## The format is easy to match. The answer key is the hard part

Matching PLAB 1 on paper is simple: a short scenario, one question, five options, one best answer, 180 of them in three hours. Any generator can produce that shape.

The exam is not testing the shape. The GMC says questions relate to current best practice in the UK, to equipment routinely available in UK hospitals, and to published evidence rather than local arrangements. A question generated from notes written around another health system will teach you a confidently wrong answer. The quote check passes even when your source is wrong, because the line really is on the page it cites. So upload the UK material you are studying from: NICE summaries, the UK guideline for the topic, your own notes from a UK placement. That is the input this page is built for.

## One question, as it arrives

A 9-month-old infant is exposed to measles in a non-household setting. The infant has no history of measles or vaccination. What is the most appropriate management for this infant?

1. **A.** Administer intravenous immunoglobulin for post-exposure prophylaxis
2. **B.** Administer HNIG to prevent severe disease
3. **C.** Delay immunization until 12 months of age
4. **D.** Administer MMR vaccine within 3 days of exposure correct answer
5. **E.** Monitor for symptoms and provide supportive care

PAGE 20"Infants aged 9 months or older should receive MMR vaccine as response to MMR is improved at this age."

PAGE 20"Where post-exposure vaccination is indicated MMR should ideally be given within 3 days of exposure."

Written on September 15, 2026 on the free lane, job 244, question 13613, from [Measles: the green book, chapter 21](https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/measles-the-green-book-chapter) (UK Health Security Agency), page 20, published under the [Open Government Licence v3.0](https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/doc/open-government-licence/version/3/). The quote is the line the check found on that page, and a second model from a different family picked the same answer from the quote alone. Nothing here was edited by hand.

**54 percent of the questions drafted since counting began on September 14, 2026 failed a check and never reached a student.** Counted from this site's own database, as of September 24, 2026, refreshed twice an hour. A question fails when its quote is not on the page it cites, when a second model picks a different answer, when it breaks a writing rule or when it repeats one already written. ## A practice recipe for PLAB 1

Ask for 30 questions and set a 30 minute timer. The real paper gives 180 questions three hours, which is one minute an item, so 30 questions get 30 minutes.

Paste this into the extra instructions box on the generate form, or let the button carry it there:

Write single best answer items with exactly five options and a short scenario in each stem, the way a UK applied knowledge test asks. Base every answer only on the uploaded guidance and quote the line it comes from. Where the source gives a first line management step, ask for that step. Do not write items that depend on how one hospital happens to organize a service.

[Use this recipe in the generate form](https://meduniexam.com/#/?recipe=plab-1)

The extra instructions box overrides the general guidance the model is given, so the wording above is followed on every question in the set.

## What this cannot do

- This is not a PLAB question bank and it has no connection to the GMC. It writes items in that format from the file you upload.
- It cannot correct your source. Questions generated from material written for another health system will teach that system's answers, and the quote check will pass, because the sentence really is on the page.
- Coverage of the MLA content map is not guaranteed. The questions cover what you upload, and the map is wider than any one study file.
- PLAB 2 is a clinical and professional skills assessment with stations. Nothing here prepares you for that.

## Format facts, and where each one comes from

- PLAB 1 is a written exam of 180 multiple choice questions to be answered within three hours. Each starts with a short scenario followed by a question, and you choose the right answer from five options.Source: [https://www.gmc-uk.org/registration-and-licensing/join-our-registers/plab/plab-1-guide/what-is-the-plab-1-exam](https://www.gmc-uk.org/registration-and-licensing/join-our-registers/plab/plab-1-guide/what-is-the-plab-1-exam)

## What it costs in PLAB 1 units

The Exam Pass, $19.99 once, is one payment that puts the priority models on your jobs for 90 days and then stops on its own.

## Questions students ask

### What should I upload for PLAB 1?

UK guidance and your own UK study notes. The generator writes from what you give it, so the material decides whether the answers match UK practice.

### Is it a PLAB question bank?

No. It is a way to turn the guidance you are already reading into items in the PLAB format, each one printing the sentence it was written from.

### Can I work in a language other than English?

You can generate in any language on the list, but PLAB 1 is taken in English, so English practice is the practice that counts. See what works in your language for the detail.

### Does it cover the MLA content map?

Only where your uploads do. The map is the GMC's, it is revised, and no generator working from one file can promise coverage of it.
