# What changed, and when > A dated list of what shipped on MedUni Exam, newest first, written down as it went out: checks added, models changed, prices set, pages published and fixed. If something on the site behaves differently from how it behaved last week, the reason should be on this page. ## September 23, 2026 - The free lane now writes on DeepSeek V4 Flash, served by Cloudflare Workers AI, with the earlier open-weight models kept as fallbacks, and the paid lane writes on DeepSeek V4 Pro with Kimi K2.6 answering each question blind. A 20 question set from a 44 to 60 page textbook chapter was ready in about 15 to 18 seconds on the live site, and the speed claims on these pages now print those runs. - The home page shows a real question from the sample exam beside the upload box, with its quote and page, and the count under it leads with the share of drafted questions the checks threw out over the last 30 days. ## September 20, 2026 - A question the application asks before an action, such as deleting a document or finishing an exam with blank answers, opens in a dialog inside the page, in the site's language and theme, with the action named on its button. The browser's own confirmation box, which showed the site's address and an OK button, is no longer used. - The MCAT page leads with what the tool does for the three science sections: discrete questions from your own review chapter, each citing the line it came from. The limits, passage sets and critical analysis and reasoning skills, stay in the list every exam page carries. ## September 19, 2026 - The item writing filter, the pattern list that rejects all of the above options, which of the following is true stems and questions about the text rather than the subject, now has hand written phrasings for the twenty four languages the site is published in besides English, Polish, German and French: Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Romanian, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Icelandic, Czech, Slovak, Croatian, Slovenian, Hungarian, Finnish, Estonian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Greek, Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese, Korean and Chinese in both scripts. Every phrasing was checked against real exam wording in its language so that a genuine answer such as a vitamin pair or a bone fragment is not thrown out with the lazy ones. Those languages moved to tier one on the any-language page, and the language picker notes say the same. - Questions in Arabic, Greek and Persian can pass the checks again. The rule that asks whether a stem poses a question knew only the Latin and full width question marks, so every question in those scripts was thrown out as never asking anything. It now reads each script's own mark, and the Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Thai ways of asking without one. - A question written in the wrong language is thrown out. A Thai exam generated today carried two English items before this check existed. The check reads the script of the stem and the options, and for languages written in Latin letters it counts the small words that give a language away. - On a translated version of the site the generate form now defaults to that language: a student on the Polish site gets Polish questions from an English chapter unless they pick another language, or Same as the document, on the form. The English site still follows the document. - Three articles and an index at /blog, published in all twenty eight languages: how many practice questions a day are enough, a spaced repetition schedule with three weeks left, and studying medicine in a second language. - Prices and other decimals take the reading language's separator. The German pages had printed a price with an English decimal point beside a thousands figure grouped the German way. - On the pricing page the plan cards sit above the explanation. The column labels in the phone layout of the rule tables are translated. Arabic and Hebrew pages align tables, quote bars and breadcrumb separators to the reading direction, and the checker box uses a face that joins Arabic letters. Japanese and Chinese tables keep a readable first column. - The debrief written after an exam is metered per account: 10 a day in a guest workspace, 25 on the free plan, 200 on the paid plans, and a capped attempt is still scored. A loop of resubmissions could call the model without limit before. Spreadsheet exports neutralize cells that would run as formulas, and a malformed Word or PowerPoint file no longer stalls the reader. - Three ways a PDF could be read wrong are fixed. A Hindi file whose vowel signs were stored before their consonants was refused as unreadable; it is read in the written order now. Thai lost tone and vowel marks from one common font; every mark is kept. Arabic was held as display shapes rather than letters; it is stored as letters, so a quote written either way still verifies. ## September 18, 2026 - Every page of the site is published in twenty eight languages, each at its own address such as /pl/pricing or /ja/exam/usmle-step-1, with a language switch on every page, a sitemap that lists them all, and Arabic and Hebrew pages set right to left. The application interface runs in the same twenty eight languages. The sample questions quoted on the exam pages stay in English, the language they were written in, inside the translated page. ## September 16, 2026 - The application runs in German and French: every screen, dialog, progress line and the cookie bar, chosen from the language page you came from, your saved choice or your browser, with a switch in the header. The welcome and password emails follow. Two exam pages in those languages, the Physikum at /de/physikum and the EDN at /fr/edn, print the published formats with their sources, and the German and French sample exams come from a heart failure handout written for the site. - A first-time student sees fewer choices: the generate form shows the count and the button, with the rest behind More options; every job says how long it usually takes; the exam warns before an early finish leaves questions blank; the results page offers a graded retake; the review badges say what was checked in plain words. - A new article, How accurate are AI-written exam questions, prints what the checks threw out over the last 30 days from the same report as the rejection rates page, explains each rejection, and gives a twenty second way to check any AI-written question by hand. - The PDFToQuiz comparison was read again against their site: they publish optical character recognition, auto-grading and mastery tracking, so those rows now say so, with the capture date moved to September 16. A question types row, where they offer fill in the blank and flashcards and this site does not, and a privacy policy row were added. - Every page is also served as Markdown at its own address with .md on the end (the home page at /index.md), for AI agents and answer engines that read text rather than HTML. Each HTML page names its Markdown copy and the site summary at /llms.txt in its head and in a Link header, and llms.txt itself now follows the August 2026 version of the llms.txt proposal: a summary, the facts an agent needs, then the pages in groups, each linked to its Markdown copy. ## September 15, 2026 - Added a page on turning a PDF into a quiz: the five steps between the upload and the first question, the measured speeds, which files work and which do not, the question shapes one file can give, and the prices. - Every page now prints the day it was published and the day it last changed at its foot, and sends the same day in its Last-Modified header, in the sitemap and in its structured data, from one date in the page registry. The privacy policy had been showing a date two days older than the sitemap gave it. - Every page now ends with a short list of related pages, so an exam page reaches its sibling exams and its subject page, and a subject page reaches its exams, without going through the sitemap. The exam pages also carry a three level trail through the exam index. - The home page shows the same text to a reader as to a crawler. The description, the five rules and the common questions used to be hidden from anyone with scripting on and shown only to crawlers; they now sit under the upload form for everyone who is not signed in, once rather than twice. - The site names its logo in its structured data, and search engines may now fetch the rejection rates CSV that the dataset entry points at; it had been behind the rule that closes the API. - Fixed the last British phrasing that reached a reader: the debrief now speaks of a perfect score and of points lost, and the checker says an absolute in one option gives it away. - IndexNow is pinged by the deploy itself, so the four search engines in the scheme hear about a changed page the minute it is live rather than when someone remembers. - For a reader arriving from an ad: each exam page now opens on the ten question sample exam, names the Exam Pass and its price right under the specimen, and can carry its practice recipe into the generate form with one button; the sample results screen and the allowance dialog lead with the Exam Pass; a guest who starts a purchase is taken to Create account and back to that purchase, through Google or Facebook as well; the 14 day refund now applies to every buyer wherever they are; and a purchase is reported to the ad platforms once, with its amount, whether it was a pass, a pack or a subscription. - The exam and subject pages now show a question from their own subject instead of a cardiology one: each was written by a live job from an openly licensed or public-domain source (the UK Green Book chapters on measles, meningococcal disease and pertussis; the FDA-approved warfarin label; the NIDCR report Oral Health in America; the NHLBI asthma guideline; a CC BY anatomy and physiology textbook adapted from OpenStax), and is printed with its job number, source, page and license. - MedUni Exam can be installed: the site carries a web app manifest and a service worker, so a phone or a desktop browser can add it to the home screen and open it full screen from its own icon. Store apps for Android and iOS are being prepared; this page will say when they can be downloaded. An account can now be deleted from the account page, and the deletion page says what is removed. - A text import whose content matches a document that had failed (a PDF over the server-side reading limit, sent again through the browser read as the error asks) now replaces the failed document instead of opening it again on its error. - Admin gained a by-campaign table (the utm or click id a visit arrived on, against the funnel steps it took), a by-country table, Reddit and TikTok pixel fields, and two more Google Ads conversion labels. A purchase is also reported to Meta from the server, from the Stripe webhook, once the owner adds the Conversions API token, so a sale still counts when the browser of the buyer never comes back. - A second pass the same day, after an independent review: every date on the site is now written one way, month first; every page shows the trail its breadcrumb markup describes; a page address typed with a trailing slash is redirected rather than refused; the rejection rates page says what period it counts and no longer labels the lanes table as model families; the running totals say they count everything since the site opened; four specimen questions that tripped the site's own warning rules were swapped for four that do not; and a page for the AI question generator itself went up. - Each exam page now offers the ten question sample exam under its first button, prints the running count of verified and rejected questions under its specimen, and carries a button for the Exam Pass with the refund terms beside it, so a reader arriving from an ad has the three things they came for on one page. - A guest who clicks a buy button, creates the account it asks for and comes back now lands on the checkout they asked for rather than on the library. Purchases and checkouts report their amount to the ad platforms, uploads are counted as a funnel step, and the campaign a visit came in on is kept with its funnel events, even when every tag was declined. ## September 14, 2026 - Reworked the look of the marketing pages so they stop reading as one template with the words swapped. The exam index is a list again instead of ten boxes, the five rules are set as labeled rows and appear on the page that explains them rather than on four pages, the footer carries the eleven links a student uses instead of twenty, with the cookie control beside them as a button rather than a second link to the privacy policy, and prose sits at a reading measure with the tables and the price cards running wider. - Added the MCQ flaw checker at /tools/mcq-checker: paste one multiple choice question and see which of the structural rules the generator runs would reject it, and on what words. It runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded. - Published the rejection rates at /stats/rejections: how many of the questions each model family writes are thrown out by the quote check, the blind second answer, the duplicate check and the structural rules, over the last 30 days, with the number behind each row and the same figures as CSV and JSON. - Added sign in with Google and with Facebook. Google can find an account by the address it has confirmed; Facebook never states whether an address is confirmed, so it only signs in to an account it is already connected to, and connecting it is done from the account page while you are signed in. - Moved transactional mail onto Cloudflare Email Sending, so the reset link, the receipt and the pass notice come from the domain itself rather than through a third party API key. - Put per-day limits on the guest lane for one network and switched the per-account daily ceilings on. They are set for a shared campus address rather than for one person, and a paid plan, a legacy grant and the admin are never counted. Turnstile is wired in and stays off until the owner sets both keys. - Widened the language picker to every living individual language in the ISO 639-3 table, 7,048 names in all, and wrote down on /for/any-language which parts of the checking are written in your language and which are not. - Started this page. ## September 12, 2026 - Bound an echoed header back to the question it belongs to, and started measuring the generation medians on the in-step path only, which is the path a job really takes. - Reworked the free lane: generation runs in two phases, explanations are written in the background after the questions are on screen, generators are tried fastest first, and a batch that half fails is salvaged rather than thrown away. Thinking is switched off on the Qwen and GLM checkers, which were spending their time on it and none on the answer. - Added the instant sample exam, a page for each of the ten exams, a language picker on the generate form, PowerPoint, Word, plain text, pasted text and web page imports, the Anki, CSV and printable exports, and a daily tutor allowance on the free plan. - Moved the catalog to US dollars and rewrote every page in American English. - Added the feedback form and the contact details, and said plainly that the business is one person rather than a company. - Stopped questions of a type nobody asked for from reaching the review step. - Drew the logo set: the quotation mark tile, the wordmark and the cover image. ## September 11, 2026 - Opened the site on Cloudflare Workers with the free open-model lane, Stripe billing, the marketing and legal pages, the cookie banner and password reset. - Went through the review list: the provider catalog was checked against what each provider actually serves, and the copy stopped saying credits where it meant questions. - Fixed three things the live site showed up. Reasoning text was being left in answers, free models that answer with a 403 are now parked for the rest of the job instead of retried, and one provider that never returned usable questions was dropped. Dates are the day the change reached the live site, in UK time. Entries before September 11, 2026 are not listed because the service was not open to anyone yet.
